Parkol
The sound card for Hackintosh and for work in Logic 8 on Leo 10.5.2? About 8 years I use Cubase and I would use it more if… Few days ago I installed Leopard 10.5.2 on my PC and… it works… works good. Of course I always dreamt about Logic 8. Parkol
What about sound? Does M-Audio sounds better or worse than others. I read some article that Apogee Duet doesn't work on Hackintosh... Thats is not good. Maybe Firewire 410 M-Audio? Oh, I know M-Audio always updates drivers... It's very important for me. zombiewheel
Hi mate My set up is as follows: Gigabyte GA-31M-ES2L Core 2 Duo E7400 2 Gb Crucial RAM Gefore 7300GT (XFX) Belkin Firewire PCI card (Texas Instruments chip) Presonus Firebox (Definitely in your price range. Good review in SOS- http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/jul05/articles/firebox.htm ) All working hunky dory on 10.5.8. Make sure your Firewire bus/chip is a Texas Instruments though or you might have problems. I did with a Lacie card (VIA) until I swapped it for the Belkin. Also I got a Nord Lead 1 midi-ed up to the Firebox. Works fine. If that helps. Good luck. P.S. Make sure you're running as close to a Vanilla kernel as possible. Fully is recommended esp for audio.
