emsee
Hello everyone im new to the forum and new to hackintosh... Ive got my self a copy of Kalyway Leopard 10.5.2 DVD Intel Amd Bu I have a annoying proble I hope someone can help me, i'm using an AMD Phenom quad core processor (2.4 x 4) with a 500gb hdd with a partition, one for windows server 2008 and the other one hopefully for this Kalyway's Leopard 10.5.2. I burnt the imgage on dvd without any problems, i restarted my pc got to the boot screen, pressed f8 typed it -v it then went to load the files kernels etc and then my pc just restarts??? i cant even get to the install part it just restarts? am i doing anything wrong i even typed in -s but still just restarts? i even tried not typing in -v or -s and jus pressing enter, again just restarts... I even typed in -v -x -y cpus=1 which was in a video, this looped which looks like a very long batch process and at then end my pc just restarts Just incase the DVD got corrupted somehow during the process of burning the first time I burnt the iso to dvd again using ULtraISo using the lowest speed possible (4x) the first dvd i made was using nero 8... I restarted pc pressed f8 typed -v it loads some hsf+ files then pc restarts, i tried again this time i typed -s no luck same thing happend again, i then just pressed enter, no luck again.... I then typed in -v -x -y cpus=1 again no luck it looped the massive batch process and pc restarted... I then typed in -v -x -f cpus=1 with and without the cpus=1 again no luck batch process and px restarts! Am I suppose to be pressing or typing something else? this Leopard must be compatible with my pc as i mentioned earlier I have an AMD processor... Help please... My cpu also is sse2 and sse3 so im still not sure why it keeps restarting? The image above shows cpuid showing the details of my cpu... Thank you.... nthn
I've spent several days trying to get several releases to work on my system. And I've spent a couple of days waiting for a reply/updating my advances, on this forum. Nobody has replied in my thread, except for me. I don't think these forums are as great as they were when our forefathers in hackintosh were having their own problems. Everyone seems to have disappeared. Henrique M.
I have had the same problem with Kalyway's distro, but i have only tried to install it on a virtual machine, and every time I get the same error message: "the cpu has been disabled by the guest operating system. you will need to power off or reset the virtual machine at this point." I have just posted looking for help, so I'm still waiting to see if anyone knows how to solve this. But my advice to you is to try a diferent distro like Jas 10.5.2 or iAtkos v2.0i, I'll probably end up doing this also. emsee
Im not sure if it would work on a virtual machine, regarding the jas and iatkos versions they are both for intell processors only, Im using an AMD Phenom 9750 processor... So they wont work... Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/108705-kalyway-leopard-1052-wont-boot/#findComment-771444 Share on other sites
Gujal
Boot with "-legacy" and if still crashes, try with "cpus=1 -legacy" Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/108705-kalyway-leopard-1052-wont-boot/#findComment-771454 Share on other sites
emsee
I just tried typing -legacy and cpus=1 -legacy but that didnt work either.... I ran a md5 checksum on the downloaded file, and compared the md5 hash to the one on the torrent and the checksum matched, which means the file is exactly the same... I burnt it twice using the slowest speed and with both dvd's the same error occurs, it crashes and my pc restarts! MGJulius
im sorry but what is C2D? Intel Core 2 Duo, the problem might lie within your ATI chipset as well, that pretty much all i can say Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/108705-kalyway-leopard-1052-wont-boot/#findComment-772132 Share on other sites
emsee
Obviously C2D is Intel, everything works on Intel! I hate Intel PFSHT! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/108705-kalyway-leopard-1052-wont-boot/#findComment-772216 Share on other sites
Artmuzz
I am having the same problem aswell. On my intel Pentium 4 PC Kalyway 10.5.2 DVD Intel_AMD (sse2/sse3) EFI V8 just goes into a reboot loop when I try to install. I have Kalyway 10.4.10 on the same PC and it runs great but for some reason I just cannot get Kalyway 10.5.2 installing without it going into a reboot loop. On my intel centrino HP Pavilion notebook I dont get the reboot loop problem - I get another problem. The problem is that after a few lines on the black screen when I am booting to install it just stops and nothng happens. I also have Kalway's 10.4.10 running succesfully on this machine aswell. This is driving me crazy. I was on the verge of buying a HP Pavilion Elite Quad core machine after I had downloaded 10.5.2 but its not looking very promising Artmuzz Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/108705-kalyway-leopard-1052-wont-boot/#findComment-772251 Share on other sites

kinkster
I didn't read most of this thread but just so you know if you have NForce you have to inject a special driver for your board or something. emsee
Yep Kinkster thats true, and I already did that the NForce kext edited and released by MeDevil, i then burnt the iso again with this file inserted and the same thing lol! The only difference > More files load but restarts at the end INSTALLATION never starts! emsee
Sunslover, did you get it resolved then? did you end up using a diff version? Because i've already tried kaly 10.5.2 amd, then inserted NForce new chipset update by medevil, i then also tried leo4allv3 that didnt work either even with the NForce inserted... Just downloading Zephyroth 10.5.2 version its taking a little while longer than the others to download, maybe this isn't as popular.... But if it does work i'm going to be one of the happiest mans in the world! So to me it will be better than all the rest... But we shall have to seeeeee.......! I have been posting this on other forums and one person mention that Leopard isn't compatible with my AMD Phenom64 processesor! I THINK that the releasers should release one with my processor compatible!
