Well I've had XP on my Windows partition for a while, and didn't know if now was a good time to move up to Vista. I pretty much only use Windows for gaming, and if it wouldn't cost my Macbook (3GB RAM) too much fps in games I would like to use the interface. It's attractive and catchy (to me at least) and would be a good change. I really have 2 questions: 1, would moving up to Vista and using DX10 be a large damper on performance in gaming and 2: Is there a fix for Airport Extreme in Vista (Can't use it in XP.)?

I'd upgrade. DX10 would actually help with gaming and Aero wouldn't affect a fast computer such as the MacBook :(

DX10 does nothing unless the game is DX10 coded, which then the only game that works well with DX10 right now is Assassins Creed, but it can be played at DX9 levels. DX10 was made to be so much more, but DX10 is hardly used. DX10 really offers nothing new, but an easier way to do effects where you can push them out and see them. Other than DX10 being useless, Vista is great. I love it.
