ultrahang Posted May 30, 2008 Share Posted May 30, 2008 just managed to get qe/ci with gfx-string on 8600GT 512MB. here are the steps in nutshell: install pc_efi v8.0 ( http://www.mediafire.com/?0xxzx0xsumg ) or chameleon boot loader (http://chameleon.osx86.hu) download the efi gfx string creator: http://forum.netkas.org/index.php/topic,64.60.html create your hex string to identify your graphics device using the tool insert the hex string into /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist using the tool or do it manually: <key>device-properties</key> <string>6c0200000100000001000000600200000d00000002010c00d041030a0100000......</string> the string must be in a single line if you use pc_efi from netkas and you can use multiple lines with chameleon - which is even more easier remove the NVinject.kext (or Natit.kext) from /System/Library/Extensions reboot i also included the hex string for pciroot(0x0) and pciroot(0x1) after this qe/ci is working under 10.5.3 \o/ 8600GT512MBgfxstring.tar.gz Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/107366-qe-not-working-on-1053-on-8800gt/page/2/#findComment-763565 Share on other sites More sharing options...

Remove NVinject Open terminal. sudo -s *password* rm -R /system/library/extensions/NVinject.kext Reboot Download - http://diabolik1605.com/DHF/ Install NVkush Restart.
