zedzed
Which mobo do you guys think is more hacintosh compatible? Intel D945GTPLKR Asus P5LD2-VM ASRock ConRoe945G-DVI I am leaning to the Intel because it has firewire on the mobo. Asus mobo does not have firewire I can't find Asrock anywhere Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/10700-intel-motherbords/#findComment-313301 Share on other sites
chmod-uk
I've got the ASRock 775i945GZ. Everything works great apart from a simple kext edit for the alc888 audio (id was 0x27d88086), this is with 10.4.6. I couldn't get the LAN to work with 10.4.8, although probably my lack of knowledge. NeSuKuN
I'd recommend a asRock conroe xfire esataII with a decent GPU, either way youll need patching, and now that installation isos come with natit, installing a Nvidia 7XXX GPU is as easy as to install a GMA950. Synthology
Greetings all, The Intel 975XBX has served me well, and continues to do so. Running Pro Audio apps, all of them as well as pro video and graphics applications. A robust motherboard build, I highly recommend this to anyone who wants a classy system, damn near a perfect MAC if I ever owned one, and I've owned several G5 systems. Hands down, fantabulous performance on my current C2D (core2duo) hackmac. Detail on my sig. Cheers, Synthology Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/10700-intel-motherbords/#findComment-313358 Share on other sites
