clearmind
Hello, I've installed macos x86 tiger 10.4.3 with wesleys patch yesterday, and right after install, it recognisewd my usb auddiophile and tried to play a sound but it was too crappy nothing was clear and understandable. and also my intel wireless card can not be recognised so i connect to the internet by another computer, i went to the m-audio web site and downloaded the so called drivers m-audio usb 1.6.1. or something like that, and uninstalled the recent ones, and installed tghe new driver installation was successfull and it told me to close and wait five seconds for the firmwre to be uploaded to the card. I did all that. I am telling all these to tel you that installation steps were all perfect. But after installation, i could not open the preferences pane for m-audio it gives an error like " contact the system administrator for a newer version" i guess this means the driver - control panel program were meant-written for the normal mac ıs computers, not mac os x86 computers, right? I can not understand one thing, ,if mac has mac mini intel released , i mean it is selling it worldwide, isn't it, then how come we can not find even a driver for a wireless card, or more importantly usb sound device ?? please help me am i making a mistake somewhere? ?? VaiOSX
I think you may try to send an email to M-audio and explain them that you plan to buy an Intel based MAC and you would like to know about your M-audio sound card compatibility (drivers support). clearmind
thanks for your reply, but they want a million of information even before asking a simple question, and i dont want to even try before i learn that there is no other option than asking m-audio Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/10570-m-audio-audiophile-usb-anyone/#findComment-66346 Share on other sites

newtrax
i cant open the control panel either, and can not modify anything about the card, so basicly i can do nothing! Just installed the latest MAUDIO INTEL DRIVERS 1.6.5 for my MobilePreUSB and the Control Panel opens fine now! (even when it's not plugged in) The drivers say 10.4.5 INTEL, but they install and open fine in 10.4.3 for me. axept
I have an M Audio Audiophile USB using the first Intel Core Duo Drivers 1.6.2 ,they are not 100% fully working,i mean sometimes the audio stops and i need to turn the unit switch off/on to get sound again. I suspect the problem it s not the drivers itself! I can open panel control and midi is working but note that i´m using 10.4.5!
