metaljay
hmmm, this (in my case) was caused by my bios not working correctly (im sure there is another reason but this worked for me) press f12 when you boot up, and you should see ur bios select reset defaults....save changes...reboot should work? alternative is to try a reinstall? Balto
You'll be required to try disabling your on board LAN or sound and so on with BIOS if you have them and not just resetting them to default. You haven't installed Leopard because you still can't get to the install screen, am I right? What Metaljay should have meant was rebooting your Leopard DVD with the changes made to your BIOS instead of reinstalling. Balto
LOL i have no clue wat u saidbut u seem 2 no more than me :pirate2: Alright, let's put it this way. Whenever you boot your Leopard install DVD, you get a "waiting for root device" before entering the actual installation screen right? You'll be seeing Leopard's Aurora Wallpaper if you managed to get to the installation screen. The "waiting for root device" might be a problem with Leopard not supporting certain hardware on your motherboard, so we need to try disabling them. What do you not understand? Balto
You'll have to try them out one by one. The easiest way is to disable all of them to make sure that it's one of you on board hardware. If you can boot fine when all are disabled then try disabling them one by one to find the culprit. Try your LAN first...
