It's on 10.4.5 on a Thinkpad T41, PRO1000 ethernet, IBM a/b/g Atheros card. Both drivers appear during boot up but for some strange reason, only en0 appears in ifconfig. I try enabling airport and setting it up in Network Preferences, it takes the configuration but if I click on my built-in Ethernet configuration, the network preference pane crashes.

Looking at /var/log/system.log, I'm getting these outputs

/Resources/airport: Error: WirelessAssociate2() = 88001006 for network 106

Feb 26 14:56:49 localhost launchd: Server 0 in bootstrap 1103 uid 0: "/usr/sbin/configd"[564]: exited abnormally: Segmentation fault

Feb 26 14:56:49 localhost configd[569]: com.apple.SystemConfiguration.DynamicPowerStep load failed

Feb 26 14:56:49 localhost crashdump[568]: configd crashed

Feb 26 14:56:49 localhost crashdump[568]: crash report written to: /Library/Logs/CrashReporter/configd.crash.log

Feb 26 14:56:50 localhost /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Apple80211.framework/Resources/airport: Error: password required for "106" not found in keychain

Feb 26 14:56:51 localhost /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Apple80211.framework/Resources/airport: Error: WirelessAssociate2() = 88001006 for network 106

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks Diabolik

Funny thing is that I also have 10.4.3 installed on a different partition and its doing the same thing. I remember fixing it in 10.4.3 by downloading a file online but I can't seem to find the link right now. I know we can't post files here but do yall have any hints on finding it?
