Someone has pointed out that Taruga has made a new installer for the AD1988B sound card "Analog Devices AD1988b 0x11d4198b Installer (changes: increased mic volume, fixed volume control, I hope headphones still works now)" it also gives optical and mic, and line out working.... here the newest installer.... Vertu Posted May 24, 2008 Share Posted May 24, 2008 Hey EnCoDeD, check out your "Mute" key on your keyboard... I found with the Taruga installer everything worked well including optical out, BUT the mute key on my keyboard doesn't work the way it used to... Seeing that I'm not using the optical out at the moment, and I use the mute key a lot, I actually went back to the old AppleAzaliaAudio.kext. Let me know if you're having the same problem. It'd be really nice to have the best of both worlds.. have my mute key working correctly AND have optical out.. But I'm happy for now. If I need optical out, I'll just re-install the Taruga package.
