About This File This is a 64-bit FX kernel for 10.8.x Thanks to Sinetek for making the kernel and thanks to R:A:W:X86 for patching it You are awesome guys
WhatTheTech 236 Posted April 10, 2013 xmaniak100 - could you help me out by adding instructions for using this kernel? Also do you know if there is a discussion related to this particular kernel anywhere? We're trying to make the downloads section as informative as possible for users. Thanks so much! 2
R:A:W:X86 18 Posted April 22, 2013 This particular Kernel is build using the patch Sinetek made publicly avaible, but build using xnu-2050.18.24 from 10.8.2 source tree. It adds two lines, that will set a default FSB value if the bootloader (precisely Chameleon) does not, as a value of zero will cause instant reboot. I recently compiled a similiar Kernel from 10.8.3 tree as well. This also contains Sineteks binary decryption routine, that wasn't part of the previous Kernel & has Dont Steal Mac OS X.kext beeing black listed. https://www.dropbox.com/s/ggewgv6rtr9nyk1/sinetek_fx_fixed_decrypt_10_8_3.zip Keep in mind, that I am doing this for MY OWN usage. There might be better support for other AMD Kernel floating around. 1
theconnactic 1117 Posted April 24, 2013 Do these kernels need any non-vanilla kexts other than FakeSMC/NullCPU to boot? All the best!
TheParadox 2 Posted June 29, 2013 Hi all, Was wondering if there was a guide on using these custom kernels. otherwise... well... ... they would be kinda hard to use. 1
DarkAeon 1 Posted July 31, 2013 Thanks but how can I use this kernal for install? Right now my FX Build just auto restarts or panics at beginning of install. 1
