Colonel
You can check out Apple's iWeb application. It's great for beginners who want to make a very professional looking website.

sev7en
RapidWeaver is a "rapid" IDE for small Web projects but if you want to build a whole site, you can give a look to some CMSes as Joomla. If you need any info, just PM to me, I'll tell you more about with pleasure
tomozj
I have also an another question: I want to make animations for my site can i use motion 2 to create them? Motion 2 is more for tv video and stuff... not sites. I recommend Adobe Flash Professional to make animations, if you are experienced, or you could look on the web for some sites. Rapidweaver is great also. It's a good choice. -tj
sev7en
If you want to create Web animations, Flash is the best way!

focus5D
I'm new as well so I was recently looking for the most popular editors available to Mac. Well, I managed to find out that CSSEdit is probably the next best thing to Topstyle (on windows). As for an HTML editor, there were a couple of very nice looking apps such as BBEdit and SubEthaEdit. But if you're only beginning and looking for a simple solution I'd probably suggest looking into iWeb (though I havent tried it myself yet=p), or any good WYSIWYG (What you see is what you get) editor like Dreamweaver. Good luck!
doctorsid
If its not in Flash... its not gonna be very impressive
