moviemaykr
I know this sounds crazy and simple for some but for new people its hard. Im still loading onto Sierra with the bootlaoder and some specific boot args. I have tried to install my new Nvidia web drivers and its asks to restart my computer. As it stands now that is impossible since it always goes back to the boot loader screen and is not a true restart so when I check the Nvidia icon its back to "OS X Default Drivers" This also goes for anytime Im asked to restart. What am I missing? Is there a youtube video or link on here to show in simple terms how actually get your system to restart and complete the changes? JahStories
I don't get what you mean with "restart" When you see the clover boot menu your computer already restarted, make sure you use this bootleg nvda_drv=1, to make sure you are using web drivers, just check if the Nvidia web driver is in the list of the loaded kext don't trust the menubar utility, cause most times fails on recognizing the configuration... moviemaykr
Thank you for explaining, I always thought for it to be a true restart it would have to start up into the Mac screen and not start in the clover screen with my Mac HD symbol then I click on that and then it starts up into the Mac OS. As for boot loader nvda_drv=1 I have never used that yet and Im trying to get my machine to the point where I don't need the usb boot loader. I also can't see my Wifi card Asus PCE-AC56 card and Im trying to get my audio to work even with a usb audio adaptor. No luck on either of these. I can connect using ethernet though. I have also never used anything like Clover configurator. Should I use that program to create an EFI partition onto my desktop of my ssd? moviemaykr
Ok, so I took out the USB clover boot loader and then turn my machine back on. It went to the new clover screen, then I went to boot args which is the second choice from the top. My Boot arg automatically starts with dart=0, then I typed in nvda_drv=1 then I went into the menu screen under graphics and clicked on use Nvidia Web Drivers, then pressed return and went back to the main screen and clicked on the hard drive icon. It went to the apple logo then to a circle with a line through it. Then I have to restart my computer. I have never gone into any of the other menus except the graphics one and clicked any other options. Is it possible I need to go through all of them and click a couple boxes to help it load correctly and if so which ones should be checked? JahStories
So... You should use the same files on the EFI you have on your working pendrive, then just drag the config.plist to http://cloudclovereditor.altervista.org add the web driver flag, save it and you'll be good to go!
