jsgates Posted May 7, 2015 Share Posted May 7, 2015 I'm am try to find out why I am getting Kernel Panic when trying to resume from Hibernation. I have my hibernatemode set to 29, a patched DSDT and a SSDT with fully working Intel Speedstep power management. I can sleep the computer and it will go into hibernation successfully. When I power back on, clover shows OSX as (hibernated) and when I try to resume I get back to the login screen or OS X desktop again, but after a few seconds I get kernel panic. I read a few other threads and I tried applying Rehabman's HPET patch to my DSDT, but that did not seem to make a difference. When the kernel panic happens the machine restarts before I can read any of the details. I see something about CPU0 though so I'm thinking it has to do with power management. Any suggestions on how to proceed troubleshooting this issue? My hardware: Dell XPS 14Z (L412Z) Intel Core i5 2.49 Ghz Sandy Bridge 6 GB DDR3 RAM Latest version of Clover Bootloader booting in UEFI mode Thanks for any assistance troubleshooting this issue. jsgates Posted May 7, 2015 Author Share Posted May 7, 2015 I am currently using FSInject-64.efi, NTFS.efi, OsxFatBinaryDrv-64.efi, OsxAptioFixDrv-64.efi, PartitionDxe-64.efi, HFSPLUS.efi. I'm guessing I should try adding DataHubDxe-64.efi & EmuVariableUefi-64.efi? From the Clover Thread: Folder drivers64UEFI may contains files at user's choice: CsmVideoDxe-64.efi Driver video for Clover GUI allowing to choose more resolutions. It based on CSM module in UEFI BIOS and required CSM will be enabled. The driver is dangerous. Clover may not started with it and you may have wake problem in system. Use with precautions. DataHubDxe-64.efi This is DataHub protocol support obligatory for MacOSX. Usually it is already present but sometime it may be missed, in this case you should see warning on screen. The presence of the file is always safe. EmuVariableUefi-64.efi This is support for NVRAM variables needed for MacOSX . Mostly UEFI boot uses hardware NVRAM but in some rare cases this driver is needed. Use it only if you have a problem without it! OsxAptioFixDrv-64.efi Memory fix for UEFI such as AMI Aptio OsxLowMemFixDrv-64.efi The simplified version of OsxAptioFixDrv. Don't use them together! PartitionDxe-64.efi This is support for non-usual partition maps such as: hybrid GPT/MBR or Apple Partition Map. The presence of the file is always safe. NvmExpressDxe-64.efi Support for SSD connected to NVM Express bus VBoxExt2.efi or VBoxExt4.efi Support for Linux file system to be able to boot UEFI Linux. XhciDxe.efi Support for USB3 bus , mostly Intel controllers. Looks like using the EmuVariableUefi-64.efi has fixed the kernel panic on resume from hibernation, but introduced two strange issues. Half my Clover boot theme is displaying and half of it is the default clover boot theme, and Bluetooth is not longer available after waking. The theme issue makes not sense to me.
