Hello.

I have problem with my new build.

Asus X79 Deluxe (0403 BIOS) - http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/X79DELUXE/

i7 4930K (Ivy Bridge-E) - http://ark.intel.com/products/77780/

 or      u n i b e a s t     and myhack.

All methods have same result. After sucessfully install (only with -v cpus=1 npci=0x2000) I boot from USB and after kext loads screen give me only black screen. (Kernel issue?)

Please if you have any tips... Thanks!

I've got a:

Gigabyte GA-X79-UP4 (rev 1.1) bios F4

i7-4930x

GeForce 610

I ran into similar troubles. Solved with:

-v -f -x cpus=1 npci=0x2000

try GraphicsEnabler=yes/no with various cards as well as PCIRootUID=1 if the above doesn't work.

I noticed that with the USB installer, my card wasn't recognized without GE=yes looking at the text on the screen but once it loaded into 10.9 all worked.

Adding -x is what finally did it. Alternatively you'd need to remove a whole bunch of unneeded kexts from the installer.

Hi Toooorch,

I am facing the same issue, also -v -f -x cpus=1 npci=0x2000 didn't work. Using #####, I got a successfully installation by putting the mach_kernel in the root dir of the USB and using:

-v npci=0x2000 cpus=1

After the reboot I get to where it passes the boot flags and it just gives a black screen.

My Build:

i7 4930k

Asus Sabertooth x79

32 GB RAM

I will look into this some more and get back to you. If you find anything out please share.

boot to single user mode with -s switch!

at the command prompt give this commands line-by-line

fsck -fy
mount -uw /
mkdir /kext_backup
cd /System/Library/Extensions/
mv AppleIntelHD* AppleIntelSNB* ATI* GeForce* NVDA* /kext_backup
reboot

now you removed the all Graphics related kexts, you will have to boot your mac normally (in 1024x768) without graphics driver. ;) Good luck!
