Second Pass ========== If you don't have AppleID here is the time to create one. Here is the tutorial how can create AppleID without credit card. Open the App Store, search the Mavericks install app, and download (here neded the AppleID to authentication) When the download finished, and the Mavericks installer started, don't do anything, simply quit from the installer. Open launch pad (2nd icon on the dock with a Rocket icon) start typing: DU...this will shows you the Disk Utility. Open it. Create a GUID partition onto your physical disk (probably grey HDD icon, and the name something like "VMware...") when done, quit from DiskUtility Open Finder -> Application folder -> there will be the Mavericks installer. Start install Mavericks, when aksing where install Mavericks simply select your physical HDD. If everything goes fine, the installation starting in two pass. At the first pass installing the base system this is the faster part of installation (several minutes) After the first pass you need reboot your Virtual Mac. If everything goes fine, the installation continues with second pass. This is the longer part (approx 40 mins). When done reboot your VM, but this is the tricky part! DON'T LET BOOTING YOUR FRESH INSTALLED MAVERICKS! Select Your Virtual Machine, and Power On to BIOS In the BIOS Select booting device (the SATA (virtual) HDD - if you followed my tutorial) Here comes the third pass - the post installation.
  8. boot to single user mode with -s switch! at the command prompt give this commands line-by-line fsck -fy mount -uw / mkdir /kext_backup cd /System/Library/Extensions/ mv AppleIntelHD* AppleIntelSNB* ATI* GeForce* NVDA* /kext_backup reboot now you removed the all Graphics related kexts, you will have to boot your mac normally (in 1024x768) without graphics driver. Good luck!
  9. I don't want to polish myself, my greatness, so lets see how goes... What you need: A Mac compatible PC Hardware Compatibility List (HCL) Window$ on that PC First Pass ========== Download everything Install your VMware Use unlocker to can create a virtual Mac. Unpack OS X Mavericks.vmdk from the virtual machine from the Mavericks VMware pack to the VMware's Virtual Machine folder.
