I am having the same issue. I just verified it by booting into 10.8.4 from a backup. Temps rise from 42 to 48 when I boot into 10.8.5. I use a properly edited DSDT for my Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD4P mobo from MacMan that has worked flawlessly. I also have pretty good P States from 12-21. What could have caused this rise in temps from just a point ugrade?

This is absolutely a DSDT issue. I found the answer here: http://www.tonymacx8...e-10-8-5-a.html

My temps went from 48/50 down to 38/40 immediately.

Note that RCX=0xE2... locked MSR problem. You need patched AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext.

Dear RehabMan,

Would you like to give me some information about patched AICPUM or any topic about how to patch it ?

Best regards.

Hi artur-pt

Now i can boot with AICPUPM, although i had aproblem with graphic now. i saw a gray screen after booting, it look like secondary screen. In the log file, it said that couldn't load kext AMDRadeonAccelerator... and many kext failed to load. My graphic card: ATI Mobility HD Radeon 5430.

Best regards.

You will need to try a different framebuffer. You don't say what you use for boot but you will need injection to force a different frambuffer. I'll assume you are using chameleon; try GraphicsEnabler=Yes AtiConfig=Eulemur . You can also add atiports= arg for the number of ports you have. If you can attach an external monitor you could set your main display and it will be saved. Keep in mind that each frame buffer used will keep its own preferences set for window server.
