Highlights: - Intel Haswell 1.3GHz Core i5 with turbo boost up to 2.6GHz - Intel HD5000 graphics (aka. GT3 or Iris) - 12h and 9h battery life on the 13" and 11" models respectively, 30 days standby. - Samsung PCI-e SSD with read and write speeds approaching 800MB/s - The 11" now has a 128GB SSD as standard - WiFi 802.11ac (BCM4360) Those things just keep getting better and better with every update. I hope OS X 10.9 Maverick proves to be as exciting as the hardware it'll run on. theconnactic Posted June 12, 2013 Share Posted June 12, 2013 I think that, since it's already shipping, it's more than enough proof for the shy user that 10.8.4 will run on Haswell machines (as long as you use a MBA system definition, perhaps, but maybe even this is not needed). Nobody really needs to wait until the fall to buy current generation Intel hardware for their hacks. All the best! theconnactic Posted June 12, 2013 Share Posted June 12, 2013 Hm, i don't know: i think the current kernel will just work on Haswell CPUs, but since i don't have a Haswell, i cannot test. My guess is that you only need MBA latest definition for 10.8.4 to boot on Haswell/Intel 8-series hardware. All the best!
