Bob_
Hi all. I installed snow leopard 10.6 retail to my pc (specs in signature) using the nawcom's cd 0.3.2, selecting only the legacy kernel, AppleAtiAta and VoodooHDA, plus the language ect. Everything gone right, then i installed chameleon (the last vers.) to hdd, but snow leo wasn't able to boot. Only with nawcom's cd i could access to the OS; so I did the combo update to 10.6.8 and I installed the legacy kernel 10.6.8 v2 by nawcom. Still not booting, even with -x -f flags. I only have a kernel panic. Here it is: Can you help me? : ( what could i do? (it's my first real attempt to install snow leo distro to my pc) Thanks in advance edit: i'll try to extract kexts from the boot cd to see if with them the os boots.. Boot using the CD and install this kext using kext wizard or similar program and repair permissions. Reboot off HDD and it should boot, AppleACPIPlatform.kext.zip
Bob_
I can't believe it! it works!! I booted up twice just to see if it was real! ahahahah Well, i had to reinstall the os. this time i also repaired the permissions after updating to 10.6.8 and after installing the kernel. i also tried another kernel, the legacy_kernel-10.8.0.v2 What made it work this time? maybe the kext? maybe the kernel. what that kext does? anyway. thank you a lot! now i have to install kexts for vga, ram etc. I'll write here if i'm having any other problem thank you again

Bob_
i write here again for not starting a new topic.. I have another problem that i cannot solve! this time is VoodooHDA, i think. When i listen to anything, i hear audio interferences, and a little delay, every 5/7 seconds. it's so annoying. I've already checked "Use SSE2" in VoodooHDA control panel, and changed the output frequency audio to 48000 hz in midi audio settings. Does anybody knows how to solve this? There are kernels for it but most are not stable enough to be used as a main System.
