Hey guys I'm new to Hackintosh and I'm wondering if my build is compatible with OS X.

Motherboard: Gigabyte H61m-usb3-b3
Processor: Intel Core i5 2500K
Ram: 8GB
Wireless: Netgear WG111v2 USB adapter (I also have a Netgear Rangemax WPN311 internal card I can use)

I'm not sure of the Ethernet or sound card and I don't have a graphics card.

Thanks for your help!

The i5 2500k with intel HD3000 graphics is fully supported under 10.6.8 Snow Leopard and later.
Prior to 10.6.8 you will need a patched kernel.

Run lspci, iasl and lsusb from an ubuntu terminal to get the device IDs of your hardware.

The distro apple puts out in the MacApp store is by far the best one :)

Download Nawcom's ModCD/USB and either burn to disk or restore to a USB sick
Boot from the ModCD/USB
Press F8 to interrupt the boot process
Insert a 10.6.3 Snow leopard retail disk
Press F5 to refresh the available media
Select the install DVD
Type -v
Press enter

If you get a kernel panic, take a photo and post it up.
