try with arch=i386 -x

you sure? i have tried with a 9500 GT same problem...

i have tried arch=i386 -x same problem at the end have a black screen.. do you think my ram is the problem or not?
what about my bios parameters ?

Are you runing oced CPU? If you are, i had a few problems with my PC. Just set a def MUTLY and FSB for your clock (exp: 3200 > 320 * 10 instand od 400*8).

I mean if you set overclock that not use a default multy of your cpu. My setup was 3200 (def 10) but, i used 400 fsb with multy 8 to achive 3200 mhz. After update only 3200 is possible with def multy 10. Any other > KP.

i don't set overlock... ifound my problem i have tried with a cpu of a friend a dual core E2180 fsb 800 i have the install screen go back with my E6750 fsb 1066 black screen i don't understand help please

HackBoot discs don't boot. I've tried with V5, V6 and V6.2.
All of them begin to load from HD and then reboot.

Maybe these screen shots will help.

I start by loading from any HackBoot CD, in this case, v6.2

This is my Video Card: Sentey nVidia G210 1GB DDR3

at this last line, it goes blank and the system reboots. I cannot pass this point.
In the HD SL installation I copied Extra 12.1 folder I downloadad from this thread and installed Chameleon RC5 just as you described. The system won't load without CD loader (only iBoot).

Any idea what can be causing this? MultiBeast method didn't work either.

Dear MaLdOn,

I've just built a new configuration with the following specs:

- EX58-UD4
- i7 960es @ 3,2GHz (origin, 133x24)
- GTX285
- 2GB DDR3 1333
- DSDT patched (it says it is) with autopatcher (extracted as you mention in your very good tuto)
- Last Chameleon
- Combo update 10.6.8

Everything is ok but only with the "cpus=1" option, or I get cpu panics on startup (at the end of loading or just a few seconds after beeing logged, or when I open Safari...)

I've tried different options in Chameleon: busratio to 12 (as I saw in another post), 20, 24 (which is for 3,2GHz), NullCPUPowerManagement, but I still get KP.

3 questions:

1- Is there a problem in my DSDT.aml?

2- When "cpus=1" is enabled, are all cores working? (seen as 3,2GHz Intel Core i7, 1 CPU, 4 Cores, but only 1mb L3))

3- Could you solve my problem ??? Thank you

Edit: the bug is an old nightmare now! I ommitted to mention that I also installed a PCI wifi card that worked well with my old macpro under 10.6.7 (Linksys DWA-547). I noticed that KPs arrived just after the initialization of airport, or when I launched Safari, so I removed it and now everything is OK D:
Do you think there is a solution with that card, or do you have another one to suggest me? (I really need a wifi connection)

I'm hoping the use of a DSDT will save me from having to reconfigure the BIOS settings everytime I reboot. (Which is quite a bit more frequently now on 10.6.7 due to KPs when using WebKit-based browsers.)

But I'm unable to get Auto-Patcher to compile the code for my K8NSC-939 (generated using the "Generic" extractor).

It displays

[Line 2379 type Error message String must be entirely alphanumeric (_NVRAIDBUS)]
[Line 2379 type Error message _HID string must be exactly 7 or 8 characters (_NVRAIDBUS)]

Any info on correcting this is greatly appreciated.
