miqlas
Hello! I have secefully installed the Lion on my lappie, it works, but there is a great problem. It is very slow... I checked the kextstat, and i have seen 2 Atheros kext is loaded for my WiFi adapter (pci168c,2a - AR928X): AiPort_Atheros21.kext and AirPort_Atheros40.kext (In SnowLeo the WiFi works very well with AirPort_Atheros_21.kext). In the network prefs i see my WiFi interface, but it says "Wifi turned Off" and i can't turn it On. First i tought maybe i don't need the AirPort_Atheros40.kext, renamed and kextcache removed. Reboot: Slow as hell Then i removed the AiPort_Atheros21.kext, reboot. Yay, fast! Then there is a problem with the WiFi driver. I replaced the whole IO80211Family.kext wit the old version frem 10.6.6 (it works in SnowLeo for me), but it is slow again. I checked the Console, and here i found tons of crashreport: Process: configd [474] Path: /usr/libexec/configd Identifier: configd Version: ??? (???) janek202
I had the same issue with my broadcom. I found a solution. In my case problem was the file: /System/Library/SystemConfiguration/Apple80211Monitor.bundle I renamed it to Apple80211Monitor.bundle_ Just make sure, it won't load. No need to remove kext caches. System works much faster, and WiFi started working. I have no idea what this file does...

Jordan2Delta
Thanks for your help both of you. Could you please check my modified version for errors? It all compiled correctly but it had no effect on my Lion install. I have tried it already on Lion, but console log says interface exists, p2p, segmentation error, crash. I had the same errors without modifying my DSDT. (I only added the vendor and device id to AirPortAtheros40.kext at that time) During that time trying to access to my wlan network the rainbow of death slows down my machine like hell. Jordan2Delta
Ok, I set it to 'Zero'. Unfortunately, the following still happens when trying to connect to my WLAN router: The Airport menu shows I would be connected to my network but there is an exclamation mark which means: Internet connection not available. createP2PInterface seems to be the culprit. It repeatedly mentions: "ERROR: P2P device interface exists" Please have also a look at my ioreg. My Atheros 9285 04:00.0 Network controller [0280]: Atheros Communications Inc. Jordan2Delta
Thanks for your help, iLeopod. I followed your hint and could integrate the two devices together. Please look at the image. For some reason I still get these error messages and the symptoms hasn't changed a little bit. Needless to say in SL it connects just fine. I also did a fresh install with that card, but I still get those nasty Segmantation Errors and configd crashes. Is this a Lion beta thing or could this be caused by Chameleon? I might add it's working 100% on Snow Leopard out of box without ANY modifications, enablers or whatsoever.
