Nice avatar :\

But 750i, I'm pretty sure verdant has that, google up Snow Leopard on NForce 6 or 7 and it'll be the first hit, you can read his guide, or Private Message him.

Cuz 750i isn't AHCI compliant; which means it operates on nForceATA.
If it is AHCI Compliant, that means their is no need for nForceATA, like nForce 6xx series.

Sorry for late reply.......

Yes, I didnt copy your recommended kexts into root/extra/ folder, i am using kext helper to install them and reboot no problem.

Everything working fine on my X1700 machine with,
Audio - VoodooHDA
Network - nForceLAN
Graphic - ATI HD4550, added dev id into ATIRadeonX2000.kext and ATI4500Controller.kext

I tried your tutorial. It didn't detect any of my HDDs, not even the IDE one. So, I added a driver so that it could at least detect my IDE one. It worked, it detects it, but when I try to install Snow Leopard, it gives me an error at the beginning of the installation.
Here it is: Failed to download package from file://localhost/System/Installation/Packages/MigrationAssistant.pkg and no alternate source.

P.S.: I needed to boot with arch=i386 flag, because otherwise, the driver wouldn't load.

The kext I added is from iDeneb v1.3 10.5.5 and is AppleGenericPCATA.kext

Thanks in advance,

I finally got my Mac OS X Snow Leopard to work. I used iATKOS S3 version 2 instead of the one suggested, because it actually gave me an error and didn't want to wait for you to reply. I added the AppleGenericPCATA.kext driver to the iATKOS installation, then it detected my IDE HDD. I installed it and everything is working fine except the Network Card. I understand that I need to go to my router and switch to every pages, otherwise, I am disconnected from my network. Can you please give me some help about this problem?

Thank you!

What are your network card and system details?

When trying to load the kext you have send me: it gives me an error:

/Extra/Extensions/AppleIntel8255.kext failed to load - (libkern/kext) not found; check the system/kernel logs for errors or try kextutils(8)

Try installing it in /System/Library/Extensions/ using Kext Helper b7

Okay your kext loaded. It's not working. Are you sure it is a problem of driver? Because, Internet is acting well, as long as I don't open some other applications that use internet, such as MSN Messenger, Safari, iChat, Mail, WoW Installer. I remind you that Steam is working, even downloading a game.

Then use the internet with that AppleIntel8255.kext removed that you have installed and reboot with -v -f......

If I understood you correctly, you are saying your LAN is working without it installed?

Yes it worked fine even without the nForceLAN the only problem is that it crashes when I open an application such as MSN Messenger, Skype, WoW Installer, etc. (Mostly all applications that uses internet) except Steam and Mozilla Firefox.

It also crashes when I try to post a message here on the forum, using Mozilla Firefox.

But when I say crash, the system doesn't. Only the Internet Connection no more work.
