Anyway, you have to find out what the device ID is for your card. I don't remember exactly how I did that, but I think you have to use a DOS program. I just made a DOS bootable usb drive with that program on it, ran the program, wrote down the device ID. Then you just find those kexts and edit them, adding in the device ID (it will be clear to you where to put them when you see them).

has anyone here tried OSX on any of Nvidia's new low & midrange cards?
thus far the only shred of OSX compatibility info I've seen is these device IDs, but it hardly a sure thing, and really requires someone with one of the cards to test

the GTS 240 appears to be a rebrand based upon the same G92 core as the 8800GT/9800GT, but from what I can gather the G 210, GT 220 and GT 240 are all new 40nm chips using new cores: (GT 215, 216, 218 GPU cores)
My biggest concern is that the reference design for these cards is now a HDMI/DVI/VGA combo, so less chance of proper dual monitor support in OSX, if the cores are even supported at all.

I did have mini pc zotac zbox hd-id41 that has integrated gt218 with device id 0xa64 but still dont find any solution to make it works.

i bought a xfx g210 1GB, put it in my hack, booted once with single user, card was recognized, booted again in normal mode. it runs OOB with vga & dvi, hdmi not tested.
before i was using a 8600GT, and this one ran, too. All with myhack installer, without modified kexts or something.
system:
conroe 1333 667 rev3 bios 1.90
intel core2duo 7200
osx 10.6.6 -> retail 10.6.0 with myhack, then apple software update to 10.6.6
i´m wondering. is it myhack/chameleon or is it 10.6.6 what makes my system run? ;-)

Hey!
I've got a problem with my G210 [system info shows GT218 ION] card. Video via HDMI works flawlessly, but I can't get sound via HDMI working. I would use a EFI String, but my device ID differs from others.
Video: 0a64
Sound: 0be3
Vendor ID for both: 10de
How can I get sound via HDMI?
