Download kext from http://www.kexts.com/view/1148-x3100_64bit...w_and_lion.html 2. Extract to Desktop 3. Do these command : sudo -s [Enter password]cd /Volumes/<LION DRIVE>/System/Library/Extensions/ rm -rf AppleIntelGMAX3100.kext AppleIntelGMAX3100FB.kext AppleIntelGMAX3100GA.plugin AppleIntelGMAX3100GLDriver.bundle AppleIntelGMAX3100VADriver.bundle AppleIntelIntegratedFramebuffer.kext cd ~/Desktop/x3100_x86_64/ cp -R * /Volumes/<LION DRIVE>/System/Library/Extensions/ chown -R root:wheel /Volumes/<LION DRIVE>/System/Library/Extensions/ chmod -R 755 /Volumes/<LION DRIVE>/System/Library/Extensions/ reboot change <LION DRIVER> with your current Lion OS Partition Good Luck 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/263443-finally-get-x3100-works-in-1280x800-32-bit/ Share on other sites More sharing options...

mnfesq Posted January 3, 2012 Share Posted January 3, 2012 These are the video kexts from 10.6.2. They are the only ones that will run in 64-bit for the GMAX3100. They don't work that well (in 64-bit) and Apple never attempted to improve the 64-bit function of X3100 ever again. For most people, these kexts will give the correct resolution but no QE/CI. Some will get QE/CI in 32-bit.
