mediashock Posted April 16, 2008 Share Posted April 16, 2008 Tried few tutorials already and non of tjem worked.. either the gparted part didnt work or another one i tried i acctually got it partition but then mac formated the whole drive.. is there a tutorial that works from step 1 to the end? that would be really sweet. please help . Headrush69 Posted April 16, 2008 Share Posted April 16, 2008 Wrong forum and definitely sounds like a PEBCAC error. If you successfully partitioned the hard drive, the installer wouldn't format the entire drive. (unless told too in disk utility.) You would get much better help if you specifically told us which tutorial you are following. I always tell people to search first, before asking a question. Trouble is, a search for a common problem will return hundreds of hits that are nothing more than other people that have the same problem! Some way is needed to eliminate the noise so that a search will return actual information people can use.
