Be glad you can still get on the forum!!!

Mine takes 35 seconds to get to the mainpage, 27sec at least to the "View new Posts" and then LOTS of time to open nevermind search any pages!?

I would use the "W#F? but I don't swear! With this going on i'll be spending far more time cruising pornsites than checking IM! :)

When I try to search the forum I get an error

Yes, we are on the case. Something is wrong with the search, but for some reason the site was hammering the database with free text searches and this is what was slowing down the server to a crawl. We have also had to flush the php-eaccelerator caches to force searching via our sphinx server. Unfortunately sphinx also seems to be broken.

The site should be much faster again now (and get even faster as the caches warm up), and search should be back soon. If anyone is still getting slow pages, can you let me know.

Thanks! Mark.

UPDATE: Search should now be working again. Let me know if you have any problems

So far, I prefer the RSS feeds. Very nice shot with that.. And you can see randomly the posts and whitout idea in mind!

Hope the search gonna be better for the future!!! <_<

the fastest and most effective way for me to search the insanelymac.com archive is to use google. I have never been able to find any of the wealth of information within insanelymac using it's own search tool.

All I do is type for example ---> p5w+10.5.2+site:insanelymac.com in a google search and I get all the info insanelymac has. It is much easier and effective.
