advid
you might want to consider opatching your own kernel, there ought to be several ppf files and a mach_kernel make sure to apply the amd and anti tpm patches, also you should download cpuz and determine if your cpu supports sse3 if you don't know already, if you don't need sse 3 emulation, its best not to use it Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/9856-1044-amd-install-guide/#findComment-61656 Share on other sites

chris9902
I have SSE3 and SSE2 support. I have all the files but I was hoping (since so many people seem to have done it) that somone jotted down some notes I could use. I have no idea what to do with the files so saying "patch the kernal" means nothing to me. anyone help? chris9902
Ok. I now have OXS 10.4.4 from Demonid on DVD and the AMD patch. I put the DVD in a got the open screen (gray with the apple logo in white) I then get a O with a line through like the no smoking signs. I just don't understand what to do with the patch. I don't need 10.4.3 but do I need to install OSX then apply the patch or patch the DVD before I burn it or what? chris9902
the torrent is called "Mac osx86 10.4.4 Install DVD" I burned the iso to DVD. I put it in the DVD drive and restart my computer. It loads the apple screen then fails. I have an AMD so I need to do something with the patch but I have no idea what to do or how to do it or what files I need. I can't belive it's this hard to get help. Has anyone even done it yet? chris9902
I give up. This is just stupid. If this works and everyone has it working why does no one help or post a clear guide. The only people who understand how to install this are total nerds. cya Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/9856-1044-amd-install-guide/#findComment-62871 Share on other sites

haywire
I got the install to run just fine (it took a little bit longer than an Intel). However, when I restart it starts showing the initial startup "Welcome" video and then tries to go to the login screen, but it crashes repeatedly. Anyone found a fix for this as of yet?
