Probably. You can use VMware to mount the DVD image and pretend as if it was a mounted dual-layer DVD to the emulated PC and install from there. Even Maxxy's site links to the 10.4.3 VMware method, which is lots more compatible than most people let on.

Alternatives are to use Transmac to mount the ISO image and delete the Xcode directory, then see if that fits.

Double Layered DVD recorders are under $50, and considering how much they let you do, damn well worth it. The media is more than 2x as pricey as single layer though...

DL-DVD media (aka 2L or double layer) is 8.5gb. If your recording software still says you have only 4gb available, see if it can be changed to display the space for a dual-layer project, or whether there's an upgrade to it.

Toast on OS X normally auto-changes the media limits when you insert the blank. Nero doesn't always, but their latest does for me. Their 6.x suite - I've not used 7 since it wasn't given good reviews, plus I got 6 for free with my drive.

Verbatim DVD-R

I was getting the message that it's too big, in both Nero and UltraIso,

but I was messing around and clicked on the window you get right before the error massage is delivered, where it said "write to disc",

I clicked it and it was a dropdown menu that had my DVD writer second choice on the list. It was two options "write to disc" (whatever that means) and "Sony DVD RW DRU" i clicked on my dvd and no more meassage it burns ok. Even though it was showing at first to be 4.840 after I changed that selection it showed it to be 4.3 and did not say too big... in both ulra and nero same thing.

I'm not sure but I'm guessing that write to disc is saving it somewhere on the hard drive and has a limit of 4 gig.

Sounds like you are using FAT32 on the drive that your program is using for the temp files. FAT32 caps at 4 gig files. NTFS does not have this problem.
