  1. I am trying to install on an MSI z77 g41 board. From what I understood, it does not natively support power management. These are my issues: If I boot with the intel HD 4000 graphics and don't use GraphicsEnabler=No, the screen starts looking messed up. If I use GraphicsEnabler=Yes, it shows the amount of ports on my HD 7850 and hangs there. So I boot in with GraphicsEnabler=No, and I have no GPU support. I figured I'd install the bootloader and null power management kext and then try and fix my graphics issue. after installing null power kext, i get a kernel panic when booting. I know there is a bios flash for my mobo, but I want to get things working before I attempt that. My specs: MSI z77 g41 mobo intel i5 3570k @ 3.4GHz AMD HD 7850 8GB ram

    RealtekR1000 v3

I'm using an MSI z77 g41 board. I installed the kext, rebooted, and put in -v. It detects the RealtekR1000 in boot, but hangs at en0: Link up. If you have any idea what to do, please let me know

to restore the dmg to a usb drive you need a PC with os x installed or a mac

nevermind, should have read the post above me. going to try this out on a DV6-6091NR with a i7 2620QM 6GB ram HD 6770m well damn, it is just a zipped torrent. i cannot torrent while on campus, so is there a way to do this with a legit Lion dmg edit: nvm my friend that lives off campus is doing it for me
  8. Looks like I'm SOL since the internal display doesn't seem to work for whatever reason. Hopefully someone is able to find a fix
  9. Hi guys, please don't get mad at me for dumb questions, its hard to go through 28 pages! I've read through most of the OPs, and there is no mention of my system: DV6 Quad edition i7 2630qm radeon hd 6770m 6gb ddr3 Just hoping for the best. I need fully functional LAN and WLAN

[AMD] 10.6.8 Guide - written by Devout

is there a way to run this by booting off a usb drive instead of using a DVD? also, what if I have nvidia graphics? i'm using a GTS 250. Does the DVD have to be a 10.6.3 dvd as well, or will 10.6 work?
  11. out of the new SNB lineups, what is the best laptop I can buy compatibility wise? i'm in the market to buy, I just need to know what is the most promising.
  12. still a no go I actually have an iPC 10.5.6 ISO on my other hard drive that I am going to test
  13. I think it will be easier for me to just do a clean install as I can barely do anything without the system locking up(it had Qoopz as an option). I'll mess with Chameleon after I get the kernel running(crossing fingers, hopefully it does the trick!)
  14. Just wanted to add that I'm using the Voodoo 9.5.0 kernel. Should I try installing with a different one, or is 9.5.0 the best one for AMD compatibility? The system is running 10.5.8
