Hi.

I succesfully made a hackintosh with a Gigabyte P35, Q6600, Kalyway, etc.

I tried 10.5.2 but the start up demanded more that 2 minutes than 10.5.1, so I downgraded to 10.5.1.

QuickTime version that came installed into Leo 10.5.1 is 7.2.

I would like to upgrade to QT v7.4.5.

How can I do that?

Thanks.

intel, efi, you can use apple software update for the soft ( QT, itunes, aperture, iwork, ilfe..) , but not every system-update ( with new kernel).

You didn't have to downgrade to 10.5.1.  To fix slow boot time with 10.5.2, install kernel 9.2.0 from Kalyway or 9.2.2 kernel from TOH.

To upgrade quicktime, download the update from the Apple website.

that's true, but i noticed also that update after update ( 10. then 10.5.1, then 10.5.2, the boot time becomes longer)

exman & fredouille, thanks for your quick answers.

I will try both actions in this week (Upgrade QT form Apple web site and install kernel 9.2.0 from Kalyway or kernel 9.2.2 from TOH).

Thanks again and I will let you know if I got succes.

I updated QuickTime, Safari, iLife, etc, etc using Software Update.

No problem at all. As fredouill and exman said. I have leave without update OS and some Remote Access ... I can't remember what.

I will read more about how and where reach kernel 9.2.0 from Kalyway or kernel 9.2.2 from TOH and how to install it in my system.

Again, thanks for your help
