homers
Hi I have a Jailbroken iPod Touch running on 1.1.3. Is there any software that can fully backup my iPod including apps becuase it keeps jamming randomly and videos sometimes make the whole iPod crash so I want to restore. What is this pwnage program I have been reading about? Also I discovered some leaked versions os firmware 1.2. Is there a jailbroken version of that? If I restore my iPod what firmware would you recommend? Thanks

If I restore my iPod what firmware would you recommend? Thanks For backing up--not that I'm aware of yet. There is an app coming soon called IPSWtool which would allow you to further customize an IPSW--theoretically then the only thing you'd have to re-apply would be any songs/videos/pix/etc. I don't know when it's supposed to come out: Chronic-Dev (http://chronic-dev.org/pwnage:ipswtool). Pwnage Tool is essentially enables you to run customized firmware (e.g. pre-jailbroken) on your iPod Touch. It will also allow you to base-customize the 2.0 beta and install it onto your touch via iTunes as if the firmware came directly from Apple. The only downside with Pwnage is that as of right now, it's an OS X only application--a Windows version is due shortly.
homers
What is the best way for me to update my 1.1.3 jailbroken iPod to 1.1.4? Also, could that pwnage tool allow somone to create a custom firmware with flash installed?
nancy_johnson
You are absolutely right that backup of iPod Touch’s data is very important. In order to perform this task you can use iTunes but it will not back up the entire iPod Touch’s data. So, the only way left was to use any third party software like iPod Touch Backup software which will effectively backup all your data and store it in a safe and secure place for further use. I hope this will help out. All the best!
Sarah Hastings
I heard that Tansee is nice backup software for iPhone, I wonder if they work for the iPod Touch
