Ongeloof
On windows i could press the windows key + K, and it would lock my computer, if want for a better phrase, though on OS X, i have to close all apps to logout which thus far seems the only way to lock my iMac without shutting down. Is there any mod out there that lets me log out of OS X while keeping my session active? hecker
Yes. You can use the "Login Window" menu, which appears on the right of the menu bar (pressing the user name) when you have enabled the fast user switching option in the user profiles preferences. I use that all the time at work to lock my unit when I leave the office. Ongeloof
That would have to be done in automator or applescript. Think Mark it would also have to be a login item if you didn't want to start the "app" automatically..." Nothing in automator or keyboard shortcuts.
