acronis was giving me these problems too, kept corrupting my hard drive, no bootloader I tried worked without corruption so what I'm doing is using the darwin bootloader, I just push f8 a lot as it's starting and choose my windows disk if I so desire haha a better solution would be nice, anybody have any tips?

Hello,

i had this "hfs+ error" on boot with acronis. i think it was because my osx partition was not a primary partition, since i create a primary partition, i did not have this error anymore.

4) "list disk"(sans les guillemets) + Enter-> il affiche les disques avec un N° : 0, 1, 2...

The partition for every boot system MUST be a primary partition. IF you created an extended/logical partition, and installed the restore to that partition, you will not be able to boot.

This error is usually caused by the image being restored to a partition that is not configured as primary.

I has these problems with OS selector. I use only the darwin boot manager. In OSX open the Terminal and type:

sudo nano /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist

Enter your root password

and type (or change if is allready typed):

<key>Timeout</key>

<string>8</string>

Beware to add a "tab" before each row.

I think 8 seconds are enough for you to select which OS to chose.

Enjoy!

PS: Look here: http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.ph...he_boot_options

to see other boot options that can be edited

The version of Acronis OS selector you need is 9.0.554, the last of the version 9 Acronis Disk Director. Version 9.0.553 seems to work for a while but then you will get boot errors and you will need to use the recovery disk or CD. There are reports of problems with AcroDisDirect suite 10 as well. Do not run the OS selector from WinXP and try to boot OSX from that selection, it will fail as well; although the error is recoverable.
