temis
I don't understand why 10.4.4 does not detect SSE3 at boot on my system, system profiler cannot show information about this (think it's the same for others). I had to apply SSE2 patch to 10.4.4 since it refused to boot without it ! Anyone has the same issue ? Is it normal ? AMD 64 X2 users, please check if it does show SSE3 or not on your rigs and post Thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/9732-amd-64-x2-4400-sse3-requires-sse2-patch/ Share on other sites

temis
what kernel did you use ? I am using prepatched kernel ... it works ok with the usual issues ... some mouse tearing, itunes preferences unstable, little gui slowdowns Hope Maxxuss will work the kernel to make SSE3 available in 10.4.5 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/9732-amd-64-x2-4400-sse3-requires-sse2-patch/#findComment-60960 Share on other sites

R. Bear Helms
Boot your install DVD and just wait. It should find the active partition with OS X and boot it instead of the installer. How to wean the system off the installer DVD is a problem I've not solved yet.
