exman
You need to set the Jmicron Controller/Sata to AHCI. When install, chose "Customise". De-select everything from the kernel, to graphics drivers, to wifi etc. Only select efi_mbr. ironicall
I have leopard installed and working perfectly on P5K Premium. I have disabled Jmicron as all my devices are SATA so that might be a start. Then set SATA to AHCI and make sure your cpu has the correct setings in the bios. You also might want to try reformatting the disk or try another one. As to fix the orange icon, there is a fix for it Here. Just download the kexts and use kext helper to install them. Hope this helps mate Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/97286-kalyway-1051-is-very-unstable-with-p5k-premium/#findComment-700051 Share on other sites

Dradis
the p5k deluxe does the same orange drive thing. Once you have the OS installed, go back into your bios and change your SATA mode from AHCI to IDE. Drives should now show as internal. Gimmy2000
hey shila, thanks for your quick reply. Yes in the end i sort it out setting sata ahci and boot from external dvd usb drive. Now , I 'm stuck trying to figured out the drivers. Fine for video and Lan . But I can not resolve for audio and wireless . Any suggestion ? For the lan I had to update my system bios then was available on system preference. What about audio? I have azalia.zip , but my system does not recognize and says device not found.
