exman
Hi Guys, Just got the 9.2.2 Kernel for ss3, unzipped the file was *.EFI. How do I install it? I did search, but nothing came up.
ka911
here how you install it! unzip the download file, then rename mach_922 to mach_kernel and use pcwiz's kernel to install it use kext helper b7 to install System.kext (I did run kext permission for mach_kernel if need it) reboot and now I'm running 9.2.2 with out problem! my PC AMD. exman
I unzipped it, only got one file named "mach_9.2.2_IntelSSE3.EFI". pcwiz's kernal can't install this. There is also no system.kext to be found.
mitch_de
Rename it to mach_kernel . 9.22 system.kext is in the Apple Timemachine Update from last week (also with 9.22 kernel) So install Timemachine Update - DONT REBOOT (kill Install Process) Then overwrite the orig. Apple mach_kernel with that (renamed to mach_kernel) from your .zipped one.
komeet
I think you don't need the new system.kext to run the new kernel. For me the 9.2.2 runs fine without the new system.kext.
exman
I got the new kernel installed. Thanx guys. I didn't install the new system.kext, the torrent only came with the kernel.
mola78
Hi, did you all apply the time machine update as well along or before the new kernel? ka911: which SATA Driver do you use? It might be relaated to that... P
