njones133 Posted April 3, 2008 Share Posted April 3, 2008 I am trying to install Kalaway on my Dell 700m and I have been able to successfully install the program but when I boot it goes to the grey Apple screen and will never boot or if I do a custom install and select the vanilla kernel it goes into a boot loop! I am downloading Leo4All to see if that works unless someone has a suggestion! Thanks. grtitan Posted April 3, 2008 Share Posted April 3, 2008 Posting this from Shuttle SG31G2 and Leo3Allv2. No issues whatsoever. Installed Leo4All on Shuttle SN25, no sound and the vid card, ATI x1300 working only a default resolution, since I have no idea how to find or add the correct driver and this place is kind of unfriendly towards complete nubs like me, since no one bothered to even answer when i asked for help about this on Leo4all thread. hardtosay Posted April 3, 2008 Share Posted April 3, 2008 I have a shuttle SG31G2 with Kalyway 10.5.1 update to 10.5.2 My SG31G2 spec are: Intel Core-Quad 6600 CPU 4G RAM Nvidia 8800GT 512 MB graphic card system is Ok, and display is OK, too. some of the problem I meet: Start up very slow, about 5 min to boot to desktop. Firewire port failed to mount external disk. looking for solution for this two problem. system speed is very good, faster than my Apple G5 2.5G desktop. martiniman Posted April 13, 2008 Share Posted April 13, 2008 Sounds like there is something wrong in your setup. My Shuttle boots in 10 seconds. Firewire works great too.
