Just wondering what everyones multichannel provider is.

I'm with VM and have been with them before they lost sky basics ex-telewest.

The reason I didn't switch to sky when they lost the SKY Basics is mainly the BB otherwise I probibily would of.

I'm on the VIP package.

Anyway Who do you get your telly from, what deal you get and are you happy with it..

VM too, got the 3 in 1. Broadband going up from 4mb to 10mb soon, so I'll stick with them. I phone every 3 months or so and they always decrease the price I pay, or throw in some extras (Better telly, free calls etc). Worth doing.

Edit: you're from telford? you don't happen to know a k. owen or c. ellis do you? long shot I know...

I got the same as ChiefWiggum, The only problem is STM in VM. If you download more than 750mb between 4pm and 9pm your speed gets decreased to 1mb for a couple of hours. But this is MUCH MUCH better than a Download Cap becuase even though 20gb/month seems like a lot its not on ADSL Packages.

I knew there was some throttling, but cheers for the info, I'll stick to out-of-hours downloading from now on. Agree about a cap, I would use mine within a couple of weeks.

No dont know them sorry only been here a couple of years moved down from North Wales.

When you get the better deals what do you say over the phone, do you threaten to leave to sky?

Are you still under contract im under a 12 month contract when we got the VIP they put us on a new contract.

VM 3 !Around 27£, 4MB(10MB soon) + Phone (Unlimited) + TV (Basic)VM Internet has been rock solid for me for years now (ADSL just not reliable enough in my area)
Yeah the internet is great looking forward to the new 50 meg next year.

I phone the general number, then choose the option to leave VM, once I get put through I ask what offers are available compared to the new Sky/ Talktalk etc deal. They are very good about it and will sort something out - I just have to have a spare hour to sit through the canned music...

I've been with them (ntl) for a couple of years, but I phoned after 6 months and got a price cut. It's definitely wort a try.

Virgin media is awful.

My dad has it, and I don't think he has had a consistent month of service. Internet nowhere near the speeds advertised (20 mbit), constant problems with the box, poor HD quality, incorrect billing, {censored} customer service and the cable box's interface is poorly made.

Sky is just as bad.

We had Sky for ages, it costs too much for the selection, and most the channels are rubbish anyway. Customer service is pathetic (it took us 3 months to actually manage to cancel our service). Signal breaks up all the time, picture freezes - whenever you are recording something. And the default box doesn't have anything better than a scart cable.

Freeview is free - what else could you want?

No need for customer service, no mucked up bills and no monopoly and a good selection of channels for the price :thanks_speechbubble:

We are kinda limited however, because we don't live in a cable area (I swear they stop at the border)
