Hi

My Leopard hard drive messed up becuase of my attempts at Dual booting.

I have the Kalyway Leopard 10.5.1 install DVD. I have my main hard drive with Vista and want to install Leopard onto my secondary drive. I was wondering whether it should be MBR or GUID. Also, how do I make sure I have all that Vanilla Kernel pc_efi things I have been reading about that make the computer almost like a real mac?

Thanks

Hi again

I installed using vanilla and MBR and it has worked. However in the software section of About This Mac it says

Kernel Version: Darwin 9.1.0

should that not say Vanilla?

Also will this have that PCI_EFI thing I keep reading about? If not how do I install?

Thanks

Boot your OS X DVD into -s mode and type the following when everything finishes loading.

fdisk -e /dev/rdisk0

flag 1

update

write

quit

reboot

Remember that 0 is your Hard-drive number, 1 is your partition number. Make sure you modify these numbers as per your hardware configuration. Good Luck.
