I have a Toshiba A215-7422 and everytime I try to boot from the DVD it always ends up with mouse cursor on a blue screen.

I can move the cursor but I have left the computer at this screen for 12 hours and it still did not load anything else.

Any ideas?

So far it is the only one to make it past the "waiting for root device" issue. What is hard to figure out is why after it finds and mounts the hard disks it loads to the blue screen right before the "Language Select" window.

you try this? If you got a blue screen after rebooting the system, start whit "-s"mode, then type "mount -uw /"->, type "passwd root"->, type your root password and the last command "touch /var/db/.AppleSetupDone". type "exit" and continue installation. You will log as root. Then go to System Preferences and create a new account.

it worked for me.
