ViseMoD
I use a USB mouse on my Kalyway 10.5.1 (updated to 10.5.2). The issue is that sometimes (about once per 10-15 reboots) the mouse does not work at the start-up. I have to reconnect it each time but it is really annoying. I've noticed that System Profiler detects it as a USB Device without manufacturer id while my keyboard is detected without problems. Is there a simple solution? LioNEXT
I too see this problem once in a while. I recently posted about USB problems (see link below) and after that I have not seen so far (since it is quite rare as you said). However, I will keep an eye if the solution I posted has anything to do with this (I mean IOUSBFamily kext does not get loaded sometimes). http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=95789 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/95785-usb-mouse-issue/#findComment-683239 Share on other sites
ViseMoD
to ipoz: Thanks for you reply. However, it did not help me. I've used kextload command when I faced the issue again, and it shown me that IOUSBFamily is loaded. I guess there is a problem with a driver for my mouse. The System Profiler lists it as unknown USB Device, not a USB Mouse. Is there any way to change the driver, add a Manufacturer Id or something?
