And your question has been discussed several times since the updaes were available. If you aren't sure, download the update yourself via "Software Update" and try it. The worst thing it will do is not make you OS X bootable and/or give you errors, and worse of all, allow Apple to find you and arrest you. ;)

Hi,

well, I unpacked the 10.4.5 Update Archive.pax.gz update into a folder.

Overwrote the existing update files in that folder with the patched ones for 10.4.4.

I Rebootet into 10.4.3. and sudo copied the content of the folder into my 10.4.4.

Again reboot 10.4.4 with -s. and I did the same steps in of the 10.4.4 install, when you boot the first time.

 

Well, I can boot into the loginWindow, but then nothing happens... just the mouse pointer on the bluescreen.

 

Maybe somebody has a suggestion? Could it be that's a problem with the old kernel and the old translate(d)?
