TRYMYZ
I have seen the "Marklar-Tiger-patched.iso" and was wondering what version of OSX is it ? Is there any way to install it from the DVD ? What has been patched. Thanks in advance. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/9504-marklar-tiger-patchediso-what-version-is-this/ Share on other sites

jrrjrr
That was the first version, I think 10.4.1. It should boot and install off the DVD, but I think most people would suggest you spend the time instead finding 10.4.3, patching it (it is easy to do if you do some hunting and reading), and trying that version instead. It supports more hardware and is what you need to make a move up to 10.4.4 if you choose to. jrrjrr
You can make your own bootable DVD for 10.4.3 by finding the dmg file or iso file of the original on the net and using a PPF patch set on it made by either JaS or Wesley. Again, do some Googling. You can also patch it bit by bit with the individual pieces from the Maxxuss site. When you get it together, you will not need anyting installed already to use it, other than an empty hard drive or empty primary partiton to tell the DVD to install to. ANd you will need some kind of bootloader program if you plan to dual boot. Spend a few hours reading this board if you are serious. You need to know some about the drivers you will need (called kext's on a Mac) and stuff like that. Check the wiki here also to see what kind of instructions you can find.
