Sota Posted March 22, 2008 Share Posted March 22, 2008 Ok so what im trying to do is install leopard iakos and i keep geting the firewire error that lots of people are geting. my system specs are HP Pavilion dv9618ca AMD Turion 64 X2 Mobile TL58 1900 Mhz Nvidia GeForce Go 8600M GS Vista Ultimate x64 17 Inch I hope thats enough info I downloaded iakos 1 and 2 and it still dosent work anyone help me out here? thanks!!! NVE THIS Posted March 27, 2008 Share Posted March 27, 2008 hey, i would reccomend downloading the leopard 10.5.2 amd from TPB (zephyroth). I had the same issues you're mentioning above with all of the other flavors of the AMD release. I have an hp dv6500 AMD and have leopard 10.5.2 installed on it. Now I still can't get it to see the SATA, but I have osx installed on an external HD and I think it's wonderful. Really fast too. If your harddrives are invisible it's because your BIOS settings are wrong or the distribution you are using is incompatible with your drive controller (brand and model of drive doesn't matter at all).
