OliveiraJMR
Hello everyone. I want to install vista on my Macbook. I have 3 partitions on it. What i wanted to do is to delete one of the partitions i don't need and install Vista in it. I tried to install vista and it says i cant install it on GPT partition table. So i have do some searching and for what i understand, what you need to, and basicaly what boot camp does is to make a Hybrid Gpt/MBR partition table right so you can install windows on the mac. Of course the first thing i tried was to rum boot camp and it says that i couldnt change the disk beacause it has more than one partition, bla bla bla.. So question is is there a way to Manually create a hybrid gpt/mbr artition table without loosing the data i have on the other partions?I have read somewhere that ipartition can do this but i dont have it so cannot try it. Or is there other way to install vista ? All the best OliveiraJMR
aprodigy
maybe this here http://refit.sourceforge.net/ will be of some help to you. many interesting efi-tools to manipulate nearly everything regarding efi/gpt. however, didn't get a chance to look into it myself yet.
