urgonah8me Posted March 22, 2008 Share Posted March 22, 2008 Im trying to find a kernel installer I used awhile ago, cant find it anywhere can anyone please link me to it to download. Trying to do a 10.5.2 update again but iv lost the kernel installer i used which makes it so much easier for me to do. all i had to do was have the mach_kernel on desktop and run the installer and it finds it and installs for me simple and quick. would be greatly apreciated! Drefsab Posted March 22, 2008 Share Posted March 22, 2008 I've never seen a kernel installer and can find no reference to one on searching. Im guessing no one else is replying because they also havent heard of one. Is it possible you mean something else like kernel extension (kext) installer. These are not the same as the kernel but I can see how people could get them mixed up. If this is what you mean then you can use Kext Helper. If you mean the actual kernel its self why bother using an installer its really easy to manually change over. I do this to install the speedstep kernel all the time, if you want help doing it manually I can help on this if you want.
