Hey all,

I'm thinking of building a decent but cheap 10.5 system,

AMD Athlon 64 X2 4000+ (65W) Dual-Core Socket AM2, 2.1GHz, 512KB x2 L2 Cache, 2000MHz HT, 65nm (ADO4000DDBOX)

$65.99

Gigabyte GA-MA69VM-S2 Socket AM2 AMD 690V Chipset Dual Channel DDR2 800 HD Audio ATI X1200 Integrated GPU Mirco ATX

$67.99

My-Phone P4 ATX Middle Tower Case with 500watt Power Supply (Black-Black)

$38.99

Transcend JetRam DDR2 PC2-6400 800MHz 1GB (JM800QLJ-1G)

$18.49 x 4

Seagate Maxtor (STM3250820A) IDE 250GB ATA-133 7200RPM 8MB Cache (OEM)

$57.99

Sapphire ATI RADEON HD 2400PRO 256MB DDR2 Dual Display PCI-Express Graphics Card

$43.99

Can it work for OSX?

Hi,

I suppose it depends where you live.

As someone said before, would be better if you go with INTEL, not AMD. Its easy as far I can tell.

I just brought a cheap rig, almost everything worked outside of the box with Iatkos:

Motherboard: GA-946GM-DS2 - great mobo - everything onboard and I can even use 2 monitors

Video: Gforce 7200GS 256MB

Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E4500 2.2GHz 800MHz 2MB

HD: SATA2 160gigs x 2

Memory: 2gigs

Total: 520 US$ (aproximately)
