boxeyes Posted March 18, 2008 Share Posted March 18, 2008 hello i have an ASUS P5K-E wifi MOTHERBOARD 2 gigs of ram 500 gig sata hard-drive sata dvd writer 1) first i wanted to do a dual boot *so i installed windows xp *partitioned the drive *installed kalyway 10.5.1 PROBLEM 1)But after countless times of trying to install it would fail on 99% of installation after some tweaking i was able to installl KALYWAY but now it wont boot unless i have the kalyway disc inside of the dvd-writer and when i shutdown it freezes and i have to manually turn off the computer any ideas ? PROBLEM 2) oh and i can see the partitioned windows hard-drive on my mac desktop but unable to see the option of DUAL BOOT at dos startup any ideas ? cheers Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

You need to add timeout parameter in /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.boot.plist This will show an option on startup to press Enter and will show you a menu where you can select OSX or Windows to boot Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
