~pcwiz Posted March 17, 2008 Share Posted March 17, 2008 Hi, I got two warning messages from Spybot saying whether to allow 2 changes to the registry, then were related to BootExecute. I allowed both. I checked the log and here is what the entries say: 3/16/2008 5:25:56 PM Allowed (based on user decision) value "BootExecute" (new data: "autocheck autochk * lsdelete ") added in Session manager! 3/16/2008 5:25:59 PM Allowed (based on user decision) value "ExcludeFromKnownDlls" (new data: "") added in Session manager! What does it mean? I can think of 2 things that would have caused it: One I had a BSOD earlier today, and the above items were logged after I installed Vista Service Pack 1. I assume they are normal but just to make sure.... Any insight? I researched and found that lsdelete was related to Lavasoft Ad-aware which I have installed. My hypothesis is that Vista SP1 reset it to autocheck autochk * and when Ad-aware loaded again it reset the value back. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

So after installing a service pack, autocheck autochk seem like normal procedures. Apparently like I said its an entry from Lavasoftt Ad-aware. It says on the Lavasoft forums that Vista x64 is not officially supported. I think I'll remove ad-aware then since I have Spybot S & D. EDIT: So I just removed Ad-aware and like I thought, it reset the autochk value to the Vista default without the lsdelete thing. I'm gonna wait till Ad-aware is officially supported by Vista x64 to reinstall it EDIT2: I don't feel safe having just Defender and Spybot on my system so I'm downloading AVG Antispyware which supports x64 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
