Wizi
Is it possible to configure a USB external HDD attached to an Airport Extreme base station so that Leopard can use it for Time Machine backing up? I suppose it must be some kind of tweaking because otherwise there will be no need people to buy Time Capsule Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/93520-usb-ext-hdd-to-airport-extreme-for-time-machine/ Share on other sites

Vasil
Actually this was working fine under 10.5.1 Now on 10.5.2 you can see the AirPort Drive and chose it for backup BUT when you try to make a backup it give you a error "Image couldn't be mounted" or "The image couldn't be created" Any suggestions? skyhighmac
Try using iTimeMachine. Or the new software update, but that has been causing problems.
